Established in 1990, the California Cut Flower Commission (CCFC) is a state agency responsible for representing more than 225 cut flower and greens farmers who are dedicated to making sure flower lovers have access to the freshest, highest quality flowers possible.

After all, California is America’s leading producer of high-quality cut flowers and greens – supplying over 75 percent of all domestically grown cut flowers in the United States.  While meeting the strictest growing standards in the world, California’s farms are dedicated to growing for a future of consumers who care about the source of their flowers.

The freshest roses, gerbera, irises, lilies, tulips, proteas, dahlias – can all be at your fingertips within just 24 to 48 hours of being in the field!

That makes CCFC both an ambassador and an advocate for our farms, so we stay busy behind the scenes, working daily to keep government aware of how important our farms are to the state’s economy. The CCFC is actively engaged in water, energy, immigration and trade policy at the state and federal level on behalf of California’s flower farmers.

Each year California’s flower farmers join a national coalition of American flower farmers in Washington, D.C. to raise the profile and advocate for issues facing domestic flower farmers.

It’s a beautiful combination. And it’s all driven by our “field-to-vase” goal of ensuring that the flowers at the center of your table are as fresh, sustainable and homegrown as the food on your plate.
