A shower of daisy petals recalls a bride's romantic musings.
In Victorian times, a young maid would try to predict her beau's true feelings by plucking the petals of a daisy while reciting "He loves me, he
loves me not ..." With the answer assured, this bouquet offers a nod to that tradition.
Gerbera petals in a range of golden hues alight gently on a cloudlike mound of baby's breath (Gypsophila). The bouquet is light as a feather, easy to construct and dramatically different, offering a bold impact for a bride's walk
down the aisle.
Arrange a grower bunch of baby's breath into a dense, mounded nosegay. Spray the surface of the nosegay with adhesive, and sprinkle on multicolored Gerbera petals. Gently pat the petals onto the surface of the baby's breath so they will adhere securely. Wire and tape a collar of salal leaves to finish the perimeter of the nosegay. Ribbon-wrap the stems, and create a dramatic drape by extending lengths of ribbon from the base of the bouquet.
MATERIALS: Gerberas and miniature Gerberas, Gypsophila and salal leaves from California cut flower growers; Tack 2000 spray adhesive from Design Master Color Tool; ribbon from favorite supplier.
