California Cut Flower Commission hires
Kasey Cronquist as their new
Executive Director/Ambassador
Sacramento, CA-- The California Cut Flower Commission (CCFC) has hired Kasey Cronquist as Executive Director/Ambassador for the commission. Cronquist had most recently been serving as the President/CEO for the Carpinteria Valley Chamber of Commerce, where he worked with the local cut flower growers in the Carpinteria Valley. As the Executive Director/ Ambassador for the commission Kasey is charged with developing strong grower relations and support within the industry, taking a leadership position with international, national and local industry groups and to bring the California Cut Flower Industry to the forefront. According to the CCFC Chairperson Wilja Happe, Brand Flowers Inc., "We are very fortunate to have found a strong and dynamic person, like Kasey, to communicate to the growers in California and to the flower industry worldwide about the flower industry in California and the importance and benefits of the commission."
"I've certainly learned a lot about the cut flower industry during my time with the Chamber in Carpinteria," explains Cronquist. "Now I'm looking forward to getting in there and working with the all of the cut flower growers throughout the state. It is a very niche industry, but the growers in California produce the finest products available in the world. I'm proud to serve in my new position."

Cronquist brings almost 5 years of not-for-profit management, with almost 4 years serving a county-wide Chamber in Washington State, Shelton-Mason County Chamber. In 2008 he will graduate from the U.S. Chamber of Commerce's Institute of Organizational Management program, which is a four (4) year program that culminates with an IOM certification from the U.S. Chamber. Cronquist has also helped to introduce state legislation and lobbied Congress in Washington D.C. on behalf of business.
In 2004, Cronquist was recognized by the South Sound Business Examiner as a 40 under 40 award winner, recognizing business leaders under the age of 40 for their achievements in business and community. He currently serves on the board for the Regional Legislative Alliance, the Carpinteria Valley Parking and Business Improvement Area and was recently selected as a Katherine Harvey Fellow with the Santa Barbara Foundation.
